Glovebox Gloves

Glovebox gloves are installed on Terra gloveboxes and allow users the ability to handle a variety of materials within the dry box based on their application needs. The gloves are installed via glove ports and allow workers to insert their hands and arms into the box from the outside without introducing contamination. Offered in a full one-piece design or glove/sleeve combination, these gloves extend past the shoulder height and provide ultimate flexibility to reach all areas of the dry box. Typically a thicker glove will offer better protection and a longer lifespan but are less tactile than a thinner version. Terra offers butyl, butyl, neoprene, nitrile, and Hypalon gloves.

Butyl: provides the highest impermeability to water vapor, gases, and toxic chemicals, including missile fuels, acids, and bases. Butyl is very elastic and remains flexible at low temperatures. It resists swelling and degradation from solvents and oxidizing agents, such as simple alcohols, ketones, and esters.

Neoprene: is a synthetic rubber that resists a variety of substances such as solvents, oils, and acids. It offers high tensile strength, flexibility, and heat resistance. This is ideal for work that requires sensitivity and dexterity. Superior resistance to degradation from sunlight, weather, oxidation, ozone, aging, freons, and mild acids.

Nitrile: this is a synthetic rubber that offers flexibility, long-life durability, and chemical resistance. It is designed to be moisture resistant, flexible, and durable, making them ideal for industrial tasks, the food industry, health care applications, and most medical environments. Superior resistance to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids.

Hypalon: also known as CSM or chlorosulfonated polyethylene, Hypalon is a waterproof synthetic rubber. It offers outstanding resistance to abrasion, ozone, and oxidizing chemicals. Its natural softness enhances worker comfort.

Butadyl: features anti-static properties, making it an excellent choice when static discharge is a concern. These gloves are strong, puncture resistant, and shed less than other materials. Butadyl offers strong resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, solvents, fats, and acids.
